| FOR OWNER/OPERATORS NEW for Owner/Operators - VMMB has just released a "best-practices" document concerning the proper Lockout and Tagout of your volumetric mixer. Click here to open this PDF.
Many of you may have purchased a volumetric mixer from one of the VMMB member companies prior to the Bureau's beginning in 2001. As a result, your unit will not have a VMMB rating plate, which may be required by a specifier on a job.
There is a process by which you as an owner/operator can certify your volumetric mixer and receive a VMMB rating plate. In order to do so, you will have to certify that your mixer unit meets all of the requirements in the VMMB 100-01 Standards, including bin sizes and mixing uniformity.
The entire process is explained within the VMMB 100-01 Standards, which can be downloaded by clicking here. In addition, a separate certification form is available in PDF form by clicking here.
If you have any questions about this process, please don't hesitate to contact VMMB. |
